Love is Unconditional
Hello everyone!! I hope everyone is just having a super awesome week! I have come to know that I love blogging! This is just so fun! This week in class we had such a good conversation and it caused me to ponder a lot.
Love, what is love to you? When someone says that word what do you think of? Who do you think of? I caught myself asking these questions during our discussion in class.
When I think of love I instantly think about my mom. She has shown unconditional love to me my entire life. My family and I have had a hard life. My parents got divorced when I was in 5th, this what the toughest thing to go through. Yet through the whole process my mom never stopped showing her love. For a lot of people it would be so simple to push away and hide your feelings. But my mom did the exact opposite. She never stopped. She is a perfect example of love.
I am in the stage of life where love is so exciting. A month ago I got engaged to the love of my life. This was one of the happiest moments. So talking about this week discussion about love brought me back to when I got engaged. I know for me and most girls that is one of the most important moments of there life, ones that they think about since they were little girls. Marriage is a huge commitment and saying yes was the easiest questions to answer.
In a later blog I talked about my dating experience and how I compared it to everyone. So hearing in class how other people go through this was comforting. Going back to the question I asked before about what is love to you. I spent a long time thinking about this question, there is a lot that goes into it. Love can be interpreted in so many ways. You can see love through how people act, how people dont act, what people say and dont say. One of my biggest fear is not receiving love from the ones closest to me. I dont know why this is a fear but it is. I ask myself all the time why am I afraid of this. I know people love me. Thats what is so special about love is that it is unconditional.
When you think of any Disney movie, the girl always gets the man of her dreams and they live happily ever after. I thought that truly only thought that was in movies. I was convinced with the way my life was going I would not being getting married til I was 30. I thought there was no hope. I knew that the love you seen in movies was only in the movies. But boy was I wrong. I now know how those people in the movies feel. When I met my fiance it was a dream, and quit frankly like the movies. I never knew that love like that could ever exist. I am so glad that love exists on this earth. That is the easiest thing that you can spread. You can spread it in so many different ways. The best part is that you cant mess up when you are spreading love. People are so in love with the idea of love. That is why every single movie is about love. It is something that most humans crave more.
After this weeks discussion I just realized that I want to spread as much love as I can. I know there are people in this world that are lacking that love from someone close to them. There are so many people in my life that are great examples of those who spread love unconditionally. I want to be just like them.
